Indonesia stock info - Singapore exports June 2011, by trade agency IE Singapore ; Singapore's exports have shown more signs of slowing down in June, according to figures released on Monday by trade agency IE Singapore.

In June, non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose 1.1 per cent year-on-year, below the market consensus of 3.6 per cent and May's expansion of 7.6 per cent.

The electronics segment continued to decline, contracting 17 per cent, after dropping 15 per cent in May.

The decrease was largely due to a drop in demand for parts of integrated circuits, disk drives and personal computers.

Support came from the the non-electronics segment, which grew 12 per cent in June, following a 23 per cent rise the previous month.

The growth was led by ships and boats, specialised machinery and measuring instruments.

Total trade rose 5.0 per cent on-year in June, following a 13 per cent increase the previous month.

Total exports grew 6.2 per cent on-year in June after a 9.6 per cent expansion in May, while total imports increased 3.7 per cent last month, following an 18 per cent rise in May.

Half of Singapore's top ten export markets grew, while the rest contracted.

On a year-on-year basis, the top market was China, with NODX rising 12 per cent in June, followed by South Korea at 7.1 per cent and the EU at 1.3 per cent.

NODX to the US contracted by 6.3 per cent, while the worst market was Japan which dipped 18.2 per cent.
