Indonesia stock info - Australian stock market outlook August 15, 2011 ; THE Australian stockmarket may open about one per cent higher today, in line with gains made in Europe and the US on Friday.

US markets ended higher on Friday as trade calmed at the end of one of the most turbulent weeks on record. At 6.18am AEST today, on the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was up 41 points at 4180, with 9336 contracts traded.

In economics news today, the Australian Bureau of Statistics releases new motor vehicle sales for July.

In equities, Leighton Holdings Ltd, iiNet Ltd and UGL Ltd all post their full year results while G8 Education Ltd posts its first half results and Alacer Gold Corp its second quarter results.

Aurora Oil & Gas Ltd posts its June quarter results.

On Friday,
the Australian market closed higher but whittled back earlier strong gains on profit-taking.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed up 31.8 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 4172.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index gained 34.4 points, or 0.82 per cent, to 4237.9.
