Indonesia stock info - japan stock market Nikkei index rose october 25 2011; Japanese shares opened 0.25 per cent higher on Tuesday after United States (US) stocks gained on strong corporate earnings and signs that Europe is making progress in tackling the euro zone debt crisis.

The Nikkei index of the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 22.45 points to 8,866.43 in the first minutes of trade.

'The market is apparently moving back towards risk-taking,' Mr Tsuyoshi Segawa, equity strategist at Mizuho Securities, told Dow Jones Newswires.
