Sectoral indices opened mixed, with gainers led by financials that added 0.02% or 0.26 point to 1,191.31. Industrial gained 0.06% or 0.42 point to 7,262.84, while holding firms was up by 0.001% or 0.05 point to 3,925.46.

Opening unchanged were property (1,896.52), services (1,789.17), and mining and oil (25,836.87).

The PSEi added 1.29% or 63.13 points to close at 4,943.84 yesterday, a new record finish, while the broader all-share index edged up 0.98% or 32.09 points to 3,316.40.
