Most subindices closed in the green, led by the mining and oil sector that climbed by 0.67% or 149.97 points to 22,681.72, and followed by financial firms that jumped by 0.20% or 2 points to 1,020.82. Property and holding firms were also up by 0.03% or 0.50 point to 1,592.04 and 0.006% or 0.22 point to 3,585.66, respectively.
Closing in the red, however, were the service and industrial sectors that fell by 0.48% or 7.59 points to 1,567.73 and 0.04% or 2.95 points to 7,554.29.
Decliners outnumbered advancers 76 to 60, while 48 shares were unchanged.
The PSEi rallied by 0.38% or 17.02 points to 4,482.89 yesterday, while the broader all-share index jumped by 0.30% or 9.31 points to 3,107.86.
