Most subindices opened flat, save for the financial sector, which opened in the green, gaining by 0.005% or 0.05 point to 1,004.27. Meanwhile, property and holding firms opened in the negative, falling by 0.12% or 1.96 points to 1,570.11 and 0.004% or 0.14 point to 3,606.48, respectively.
Unchanged were the mining and oil (22, 079.18), industrial (7,624.38), and service (1,580.72) subindices. Advancers led decliners 41 to 17, while 30 stocks were unchanged.
The PSEi hit a new all-time high yesterday, rallying by 0.39% or 17.27 points to 4,476.01, again exceeding the previous record set only last Friday, while the broader all-share index jumped by 0.26% or 7.94 points to 3,101.68.
