In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.28 percent to 3,265.83 points but in Frankfurt the DAX dropped 0.94 percent to 5,784.85 points.
* European shares set to snap 4-days of gains, tracking weakness in Wall Street and Asia ahead of U.S. non-farm payroll data
* Britain's FTSE 100 was seen opening down 91-92 points, or as much as 1.7 pct
* Germany's DAX was expected to open 112 points lower, or as much as 2 pct
* France's CAC was seen 52-54 points lower, or as much as 1.7 pct.
