Indonesia stock info - KL shares price open lower jan 10 2012 ; Shares on Bursa Malaysia opened slightly lower this morning on lack of buying interest. After 50 minutes of trading, the FBM KLCI stood 1.030 points easier at 1,520.7, after opening 1.11 points lower at 1,520.62.

The Finance Index declined 6.891 points to 13,436.81 but the Plantation Index advanced 9.710 points to 8,479.57 while the Industrial Index added 2.85 points to 2,777.54.

The FBM Emas Index shed 4.56 points to 10,469.57, the FBM 70 Index was 5.909 points higher at 11,664.35 and the FBM Ace added 15.18 points to 4,205.2.

Decliners led advancers 207 to 189 while 264 counters were unchanged, 825 untraded and 17 others were suspended.

Turnover stood at 423.079 million shares worth RM277.855 million.

Volume leaders, Takaso Resources edged up 3.0 sen to 27 sen, Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor was flat at 50 sen and Ingenuity Soultions-WA earned half-a-sen to 4.0 sen.

Among heavyweights, Maybank was flat at RM8.24, Sime Darby rose one sen to RM9.08 while CIMB eased one sen to RM7.28.

The price of gold today closed at RM157.81 per gramme, down 67 sen from yesterday.

The ringgit today traded higher against the US dollar, early today, backed by strong demand for the local currency, dealers said.

At 9.50am, the ringgit was quoted at 3.1445/1475 against the greenback from 3.1520/1550 at 5pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, the ringgit was little changed against the Singapore dollar at 2.4299/4329, from 2.4285/4327, on Monday as well as against the yen at 4.0901/0946 against 4.0983/0027 yesterday.

The ringgit was also little changed against the British pound at 4.8614/8667, from 4.8664/8716, previously but rose against the euro to 4.0140/0187, from 4.0242/0286, on Monday.
